About our group

_{The concept of our group is the Memory of Trees. We want to create a moody atmosphere of meditation beyond the real side of this world.
It is known that each tree has it's own life and it's own memory. Born a hundred years ago it keeps the history of snow and summer, prosperity and decadence, depression and love - of our Being and our Death.
Have you ever heard the whispers of the forest - when the trees sing the most beautiful song with their graceful branches clothed with tiny leaves? Have you ever seen the magic of the sun shining throurgh the leafage? Have you ever walked amongst the foggy labyrinths of trees? If yes - this group is for you!}

R U L E S

_{The group is devoted to trees. Be it a lonely tree standing in a field or a whole forest. Hence, we only accept works with trees.

Any category, except for Scraps and Deviant IDs, is acceptable.

Note that we are very strict in accepting your submissions. Your deviation has to be theme related. We want to see moody pictures - not just bright and colourful. If your deviation has the image of tree it doesn't mean that we'll accept it.}

Submission Guidelines

_{We allow only 2 deviations per week. (both for Gallery and Favourites)

Submit to the right gallery folder (depending on the category you have submitted your work). Otherwise your submission will not be accepted and you will have to resubmit to the correct folder.
(We do not accept "Scraps" and "Deviant IDs")

If your work does not fit any of the gallery folders under categories, submit your work to the "Miscellaneous".

If your submission period expires, resubmit your work.

There are standards for the works that we accept. Your works, in order to be accepted, should behold:
- some kind of concept - not just a beautiful picture
- good composition - the balance of objects in the picture
- good image quality - no pixel noise and blur (however there's some kind of "artistic blur", that is accepted)
- and of course colors - the careful usage of Photoshop and other programs for editing

If your work was denied, feel free to ask why.}

Favorites

_{All works are accepted to favorites, as long as they fit the theme of the group. If your works were denied of submission for the gallery folders, you can always submit them to favorites.}

Joining

_{To join, simply press "Join our Group" button.

Joining is a subject to vote. Therefore your joining request may take some time to be approved.

We accept to members only those, that have trees-related deviations.

The average standard of your works must fit the standards of submitting works (can be seen above, in submission guidelines).

(for photographers) Other works in your gallery must also be nature-related, so that we could see future possibilities for submission of your works.

If your request is denied, then you can either note us, to ask for permission (state your reasons why you would like to be a member) or just watch the group (you won't be able to submit deviations).}

I remember the beginning.
My first memory consists of being engulfed in the moist earth. I remember how rich the nutrients were and how soft the dirt felt, as if it had just been tilled. Worms would slide past me in the dark, brushing against my outer shell, leaving a faint tickling sensation. These were the memories that I cherished. The times when I was safe and warm in the womb of Mother Earth.

Hereby I would like to invite everyone who desires to vote for the entries of our monthly contests.

How it works:

There is a number assigned to each work. To vote, just write the number of the work you liked in the comments. Your vote will give 1 point for that entry. You can only vote once!. Judges will then add their votes (worth 1/3 of the highest points).

How long it lasts:

The voting lasts for 1 week, which means that on 8th Mai 12:00 pm GMT+1 the voting will stop and no more votes will be accepted. The votes will be counted and the winner will be soon announced!

Both member and non-members can vote. So you can invite anyone you like to vote. If you might think this is unfair, that is the reason we have the judges. The judges will have enough power to turn the course of events and let the most deserving work to win!
